February 20, 2024 Corporación Financiera Azuaga, a Spanish family-owned group specializing in financial and investment services, has appointed Juan Bastos-Mendes and Gabriel Alonso as new members of its Board of Directors.
Juan Bastos-Mendes has over 30 years of experience in managing financial and investment companies. He will combine his role as a board member at Corporación Financiera Azuaga with other advisory positions at leading financial institutions. Juan holds a degree in Business Administration from CUNEF and the Complutense University, and an MBA from IESE.
Gabriel Alonso is the current Chief Operating Officer at Corporación Financiera Azuaga, responsible for establishing growth strategies, optimizing processes, and managing the Corporation’s resources. Gabriel has ten years of experience in the insurance sector and internal auditing, specializing in regulatory compliance and internal control. He holds a degree in Business Administration and has completed several master’s programs or specializations in renewable energy (IMF International Business School), Financial Auditing and Risk (I.E.B), and Senior Management (San Telmo Business School).
