Anta Asset Management, the new asset management firm owned by Corporación Financiera Azuaga, begins its journey with the announcement of the appointment of Jacobo Anes as CEO and Federico Battaner as Chief Investment Officer. The firm received approval from the CNMV (Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission) in the summer, with Fernando Morales Alba serving as its president, a position he also holds at the family holding company.
Jacobo Anes has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to joining Anta AM, he was the Director of Strategy for Savings and Investment at Unicaja Banco, formerly known as Liberbank, where he joined in 2008. He has also worked at Banif, Santander’s former private banking brand, and UBS Wealth Management.
The profiles chosen for the team reflect Corporación Financiera Azuaga ‘s strong commitment to asset management within a holding company that includes investments in venture capital, renewable energy, real estate, as well as the financial and insurance sectors, to carry out guarantees and loans.
